Submission guidelines

We are actively seeking art and writing submissions for StartPhoto.com. Submission guidelines:

• Art submissions:

We welcome submissions of all photographic-based artwork, including digital imagery and collage.

Please submit up to 5 images in high quality .jpg format, with a minimum dimension of 1000×1000px. If applicable, please add a title for the portfolio/project, titles for each image, and a brief artist’s statement. If no information is received, we will consider the work “Untitled”.

• Writing submissions:

The StartPhoto community wants to hear you! It thrives on the input of multiple voices… this is an interactive environment where your voice, thoughts, and opinions are important.

Have a topic you’d like to share with your peers? Please include your name, a title for the article, your e-mail address, and instructions if you’d like your email address published with your article. We have particular interest in articles about: digital imaging, the artistic process, art school, masters of photography (surveys of their work, editorial, etc), and other topics of interest to the all photographers, from the photo student to the professional. No exclusive rights are required, and a permanent writing credit and linkback is offered to every published writing and image contribution.
